Developing Systemic Leadership for a Better Future
- Client: RSPCA
The challenge: Evolving leadership to shape the future of animal welfare
As the organisation entered its 200th year — facing post-pandemic pressures, financial challenge, and a growing animal welfare crisis — it needed leaders who could work on the system, not just in it. The goal: grow confident, connected and empowered leaders able to shift culture, enable teams, and drive systemic change.
What we did: Designed a bold, human-centred leadership programme
We co-created a 6-month programme for 85 mid-to-senior leaders across the organisation, grounded in real-world challenges and built around three leadership domains:
- Leading for Me – building self-awareness, purpose and wellbeing
- Leading for We – empowering teams and engaging others through change
- Leading for World – thinking systemically to lead beyond silos
The experience combined group learning, 1:1 coaching, peer support, and applied practice — giving leaders the skills, mindset and language to tackle big, complex challenges together.
The impact: Culture-shifting leadership and tangible system change
- NPS of 86 and a 92% uplift in leadership confidence and capability
- Progress across all 5 leadership domains, measured through 360 feedback
- 64% of leaders made real progress on systemic, cross-functional goals
- Leaders now share a common language for bold, systemic leadership — with clear momentum behind cultural change and strategic transformation
